The calculators on this site run in your browser. The incomes, overnights and amounts you enter are not sent to a server, are not saved and are not added to the page address. The only form is the Feedback button.

What happens to the numbers you enter
Every calculation runs on your device. Closing or reloading the page clears the form. A printed or saved summary is created by your browser and stays with you.
When a calculation finishes, the page records only that a result was shown, for which state, in which mode and for how many children. It never records incomes, amounts or overnights.
Analytics and cookies
The site uses Google Tag Manager to load two analytics services. Google Analytics 4 counts visits, pages, the type of device, an approximate location derived from the IP address and clicks on partner links. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling. The calculators, with every field and amount in them, are masked in those recordings.
Both services set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the calculators work without them.

Partner links
Partner links pass through a short address on this site that records the click, then forwards you to the partner. The record holds the time, the page and the link, the country, the browser type and language, the network provider and a one-way hash of the IP address that changes daily (not the address itself). It is used to count clicks and filter out bots. The partner's own privacy policy applies on its site.
The Feedback form
If you send a message with the Feedback button, we receive what you type, the topic you chose, your email address if you leave one, the address and title of the page, your screen size, your browser's language and whether it uses a light or dark theme (and your browser version, for "Something's broken"). The message is stored on our server and a copy is emailed to the editors. Session recordings do not show what you type in the form.
We use it only to fix the site and to reply to you. Your email address is never added to a mailing list or shared. Your IP address is not stored: a one-way code made from it is kept for one day to stop repeated spam. Messages are kept for up to 12 months. To have a message you sent deleted, write to hello@childsupport.today.
