How changes are tracked
Editions, schedules and calculators
Checked Oct 15, 2026.
How are guideline editions tracked?
We check each state's official statute, court rule, or agency text and track its effective date separately from updates to tables, worksheets, and calculators. A change is listed as confirmed only when the official text supports it. Otherwise, it is marked being verified.
A change with a future effective date appears in this log under that date; until then, the state page uses the edition in force. The version plate identifies the governing law and edition date; an unconfirmed date is not supplied. The methodology explains how these sources guide the calculation.
A guideline result is an estimate, not an order. A court or state agency decides the actual amount and may depart from the guideline for reasons the law allows. The state pages provide state-specific explanations and links to official tools and free help.
What changed most recently?
Connecticut's Child Support and Arrearage Guidelines took effect August 1, 2026, according to the Connecticut Commission for Child Support Guidelines. Ohio's Rule 5101:12-1-17 took effect April 1, 2026, covering the JFS 07767 basic child support schedule and JFS 07768 and 07769 worksheets.
Illinois updated its Gross to Net Income Conversion Table and Schedule of Basic Obligations amounts effective March 20, 2026. The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services identifies this as an amounts update under the guideline governed by 750 ILCS 5/505, not a new start date for the underlying law.
Georgia's Parenting Time Adjustment and Low-Income Adjustment replaced the earlier deviations under O.C.G.A. §19-6-15 effective January 1, 2026. The Georgia Child Support Commission updated its official calculator on January 2, 2026. Missouri's reported January 1, 2026 Form 14 schedule change remains being verified because the official text could not be opened.
